Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan - History

Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram, a co-educational school in Chennai is a prominent offspring of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, an institution of national repute and Indian Culture. Founded by the exceptional and eminent Indian Dr. K.M. Munshi. The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has its Main Office in Mumbai and successfully manages its academic institutions nationwide.

Having blossomed from humble beginnings, Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyahsram which began in 1977, is today a prestigious learning centre managed by the Bhavan's Chennai Kendra. The institution boasts of a spacious campus in Kilpauk, which was donated by Shri.V.Pattabhiram a distinguished citizen of India.

The Vidyashram is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi and has a student strength of about 3200 students from LKG to Grade XII. B.V Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram has been constantly pursuing and achieving excellence on both scholastic and non-scholastic fronts. Apart from achieving consistently 100% results in the Xth and XIIth boards, our students have been recipients of several other academic awards. Their accomplishments in sports, dramatics, elocution, debates, fine arts among others has been significant by the many awards and accolades won.

The school prides itself on State Level representation in cricket, volleyball, swimming, football, handball and so on. At the national and international level, the students have made landmark contributions in Skating, Fencing, Karate, Chess, Table Tennis and Squash.

Having celebrated our SILVER JUBILEE in 2002-2003, Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram in its 37th glorious year.
